The IE Derby Divas are from all walks of life. Our players form an all-female flat track, skater-owned-and-operated roller derby league, which encompasses San Bernardino and Riverside counties. Within this widespread area, our sport attracts a variety of athletes with diverse talents and backgrounds. We are women who have families, jobs and all the other things that life brings. We come together for a common cause: to enjoy the company of the people around us and to play our skates off at our bouts. Not because we have to, but because there is something in each and every one of us that reminds us that we can do what we love to do. To us, that's roller derby.
Physique is irrelevant, and it doesn't matter if you have not worn skates ever or in years! The IE Derby Divas proudly offers training at all levels and teaches new and experienced athletes anything from the rules and basic skating techniques, to advanced strategy and gameplay. For new recruits, there is no contact or competitions until every skater has safely passed a minimum skating skills and written rules test, as established by the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA). We also encourage our players to skate whenever they can in addition to our weekly practices.
For those interested in more information or if you are ready to join, please fill out the downloadable information packet or inquiry form so that we can connect with you about attending an upcoming New Skater Orientation or practice.
The current practice schedule commences on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. at Cal Skate in Grand Terrace.
