Assistant Coach - Divas
I joined roller derby to have a hobby, something that would fill my workout needs. I had no idea it would become an obsession, a passion, filled with love for the sport and the people involved.
I started playing with IEDD in 2013. When I was injured in August 2017, and I was not able to finish the season. I spoke with the head coach Kwyet Wryot about how disappointed I was that I had not been released to get back on skates for the beginning of the 2018 season. She asked if I was interested in assisting her with coaching. I am very excited to be able to be apart of the IEDD team, and I am looking forward to a rewarding season.
I love derby for so many reasons! I love that I am constantly being challenged. I love that I can have fun while getting a great workout. I love the community of derby, it is so supportive and welcoming. I love that it is something that my family can be apart of.
My goal for IEDD is to bring out the best in each player, and help everyone to utilize each other’s strengths.
My favorite quote is "pain is weakness leaving your body" I'm not sure who originally said it, but my sister says it to me all the time.
